Kristin started this all-ages music retreat with the great fiddler/songwriter Laura Cortese in 2011. This year's instructors come from diverse backgrounds ranging from indie rock to traditional fiddle & dance music: Dawn Landes, Jefferson Hamer, Chris Pappas, Zara Bode & Stefan Amidon (Sweetback Sisters), Chas Justus & Eric Frey (The Red Stick Ramblers) & Dinty Child (Session Americana). Thank you Iguana! Miles of Music Camp has received a grant from The Club Passim Iguana Fund to help start an Artist-in-Residence Program in 2012. The Iguana Fund is an amazing resource for New England artists.

Covered: Hear Kristin's song "Send Me A Letter" on the new Joy Kills Sorrow album Darkness Sure Becomes This City. Also, The Sweetback Sisters recorded "Red Shoes Blues" and "They Say Virginia is for Lovers" (a co-write with Mary Lucey) on Chicken Ain't Chicken. Both albums were released this year on Signature Sounds.

On TV: "The Sound Asleep" (from the new Sometymes Why album) was featured on ABC's Private Practice in December. You can still watch & listen here.

Archives: Hear Kristin's set on NPR's A Prairie Home Companion. Her band Sometymes Why's recent Mountain Stage performance is also listenable on-line.
